The NZ Ale Trail aims to make it easy for you to find out where you can enjoy these great Kiwi beer experiences. By going where the beer is made, you’ll experience what makes each brewery unique and directly support the people and communities behind New Zealand’s great beer, hops and malt.
The NZ Ale Trail is a product of the Brewers Guild of New Zealand. We are the industry association for brewing in New Zealand. Our vision is that the quality and creativity of New Zealand beer is celebrated and home and around the world.

The NZ Ale Trail is brought to you by New Zealand’s brewers. Our primary goal is to help domestic and international tourists experience great Kiwi beer in the places that its made and traditionally enjoyed. There are breweries in every region of New Zealand. We are working with brewers and government and commercial partners to build a platform that curates amazing experiences that showcase the best we have to offer.
The NZ Ale Trail has been launched as a minimum viable product – we intend to test and improve before we expand.
